I emailed a dealer and they didn't respond.
CarPoint's dealer network guarantees a reply within 48 hours. But sometimes - thankfully not often - emails can go astray, or technical issues can prevent the dealer replying to you.


That's where we come in. When you emailed the dealer you would have received a confirmation email with all the details you entered. Forward that to us by clicking on the button above and pasting the contents of that first email into the new one.

If you don't have a copy of that email, tell us the following information:
   1. Your name

When it comes to new cars Australia is without a doubt the lucky country. We have more new cars on offer than any other country in the world per person. So it's no surprise that, from time to time, you may not find the car review you're looking for. Chances are we will be testing that car soon.

The page I'm trying to visit won't load.
There are lot of variables on the net so sometimes you may get quite a delay when trying to load a page. Try again a little later and you may have better luck. If it really won't load after several tries then we may actually have a problem with our web server or database. Report the error to us via the button below with the address of the page you're trying to get to and we will fix it as soon as we can.

Keeping up to date email addresses of all our dealers and services is an ongoing battle - they seem to change so frequently! Please do tell us which address you were sending to and attach a copy of the bounced mail message.

My Apple Mac doesn't show CarPoint properly.
Yes, well, you're not going to like this one. Mac users constitute less than 1% of our visitors and, as much as we would like to, we can't afford to cater for their special needs adequately. But help is at hand.

We have found that the latest version of the the Mac OS and browser provide the best experience of the Points sites. We are working on using the latest web development technologies to try to give all our visitors the same experience no matter their particular setup. This all takes time though so please do come back again and see what progress we have made.

CarPoint's drop-down menus don't work.
There is nothing particularly unusual going on here so you may have a problem with your JVM (Java Virtual Machine) engine. This sometimes happens after a browser upgrade. If you are using Internet Explorer try going to the Microsoft Update site and getting the latest version. It is small and quick to install. If you are using another browser you will need to go to the site appropriate for that browser and see if they have an upgrade.

Nothing happens when I select from a list box
Sometimes it takes a while for an entire page to be rendered on your browser completely (there are a lot of factors governing this not many of which are under our control). You need to be sure that the whole page has come down before selecting from the select lists. Check out the progress bar at the bottom of your browser window, and the status message at the bottom left. When the status is Done, then the whole page is complete. The page will work the best from then on.


Some browser and machine combinations do not support the technology we use for intelligent select lists. In this case we normally do a page refresh instead of just updating the related lists. Netscape and Mac users fall into this category.

CarPoint loads too slowly.
Load on the net varies from minute to minute so you will likely get different speeds at varying times of the day. There are many steps between you and us and we can only control a very few of those. Your modem speed and size of your ISP are the major factors here. We do our best to provide the best speed we can get at our end of the delivery.
