Isuzu Ute Australia (IUA) is offering ABN holders a pair of farm-oriented D-MAX models in the form of its 'Farm Mate' limited edition utes.

The Farm Mate pack equips D-MAX one-tonne EX single-cab chassis and SX space-cab chassis models with up to $5000 of additional value including a galvanized steel-bodied drop-side tray, steel bulbar, tow kit and Bluetooth telephony.

"Many farmers in various regions across the country have had hard times of late with the extremes of weather.  If they are looking to update their farm ute, then these Farm Mate special value D-MAX models will help make that purchase considerably more affordable," said Isuzu Ute's managing director Hitoshi Kono.

"Farm Mates come equipped with the practical accessories that primary producers typically need in such a general purpose farm ute, and they are offered at driveaway prices which will save them thousands."

Offering the longest endorsed tray load floor length in its class D-MAX is powered by a torquey 3.0-litre turbodiesel engine, the same mill found in Isuzu's two-tonne trucks. All D-MAX 4x4 models offer a three-tonne (braked) towing capacity and 225mm of ground clearance.

Further improving their ability offroad, D-MAX 4x4 Utes also feature a crawl function when first gear is selected in low-range and includes an anti-stall function. Steel sump and transfer case guards are also included as is a fuel tank shield.

Farm Mate production is restricted to less than 100 units but IUA says final availability will depend on demand.

2011 Isuzu D-MAX Farm Mate pricing:
D-MAX Farm Mate EX single-cab $33,990 (driveaway)
D-MAX Farm Mate SX space-cab $39,490 (driveaway)
