The HSV W427 and Bolwell Nagari production details have now been announced, following a positive response from show-goers

Both HSV and Bolwell have committed to production of their respective hero cars unveiled at the Melbourne Motor Show.

The Carsales Network has learned that over the weekend, around 500 expressions of interest in the W427 were received via dealer registration forms and online, including from places as far away as Romania and Azerbaijan

HSV sources reveal that Panorama Silver will not be available, as Holden cannot accommodate special HSV colours for such low volumes, however the W427 will be available in Red, White, Black, Evoke (Grey) and Silver (but not Panorama Silver).

HSV has also confirmed a prospective build rate in excess of four cars per week to commence mid-year -- additional HSV workforce requirements are currently being planned and recruited where necessary.

New staff will support a customer relations program for the car and customers may have the opportunity to visit Clayton and view their car being built or receive a special code to watch live via webcam.

The final price is likely to be closer to $150,000.

On the Nagari front, Bolwell has confirmed that eight definite orders were placed over the first weekend on display, so the Nagari is definitely going into production with first deliveries expected by December 2008.

It appears that the Asian market is emerging as the region with the greatest sales potential for Bolwell, especially with the Toyota V6 powertrain fitted to the Nagari.

Extra staff are now being recruited for final development and production. Several industry engineers have requested to work on the project, such is the enthusiasm.
