With the new Personal Property Security Register (PPSR) that has recently been introduced by the Federal Government, CarFacts has also undergone some changes to very soon offer the most comprehensive vehicle history reports available to the Australian public.
PPSR has replaced all state and territory registers of security interests in personal property, including registers of interests in motor vehicles such as the VSR in Victoria or REVS in NSW. CarFacts has established a direct connection with the PPSR to provide potential purchasers of motor vehicles with detailed history reports for any Australian delivered car with a Vehicle Identification Number (VIN). Not only will a CarFacts report show whether money is owing on vehicle but also include a check to see if the car has ever been written off or stolen - imperative information that you need to know prior to potentially purchasing a used vehicle.
